There are telephone scams circulating again. These scammers sound very professional, and pose as VISA rep. They want the three-digit number on the back of your debit card. In some cases the scammers already have your card number, name, address and know the bank where it was issued. Should you receive any calls requesting verification information, hang up or do not give any information out. Instead, tell the caller that you will contact VISA or MasterCard directly. You can always call your bank, or call the customer service number on your VISA or MasterCard account statement. Remember, you should never give out your social security number, your Pin number, or the three-digit security number on your card.
